Drawing WORKSHOP

Botanical Drawing
This class is led by local artist Kaelee Thompson, who will guide you through basic drawing materials and techniques with the assistance of botanical inspiration! Learn and practice skills such as composition, contour drawing, use of light and shadow, and shading techniques. In this class, we will work with plants as drawing reference to create sketches and illustrations. By the end of the class, you will have created your own graphite drawing of a plant or botanical element, and gained skills to continue to practice with in your sketchbook. Whether you are completely new to drawing or want a fun way to improve your skills, this class is for you!


PAINTING WORKSHOP
Every Wednesday in March
From 6:00 - 8:00pm
Botanicals in Watercolor
In this workshop we will paint plants in watercolor. No prior skills required, just a positive attitude and desire to make art with plants!
In this workshop, we will spend time with and paint plants in watercolor. We will cover choosing a subject, general plant anatomy, color-mixing, and brushstrokes to make a painted plant come to life. Most importantly, you will learn how to enjoy watercolor and become a more confident maker. No prior skills are required- just a positive attitude and desire to make art with plants!
PAINTING WORKSHOP

Botanicals in Acrylics
Botanicals in Acrylics is taught by local acrylic painter and botanist Erynn McNeill of Up Moss Creek Studio. In their 2 hour art classes students are guided through traditional botanical illustration techniques including color theory with a focus on natural tones and greens, composition, light and shadow, and labeling. Their classes begin with students choosing their own plant from around the shop, followed by step by step instructions between focused painting time. By the end of the class participants go home with a unique botanical illustration of their very own.

About the Workshop
Death planning, also known as end-of-life planning, allows people to consider and communicate their wishes about medical treatment, funeral arrangements, and asset distribution upon their death. This can and will reduce the stress and conflict often associated with this period of our lives.
